SPECIAL
It’s happening
Feed the Scorchpot is coming to mobile.
Yes. Mobile.
Unreal.
iOS and Android, both landing after the PC release — late (late) 2026. This has been one of those "we really want to tell you but can't yet" thing for weeks, the kind where you're mid-Discord conversation biting your tongue. So let's just say it: the Scorchpot isn't a one-platform game anymore.

We signed a co-publishing deal to make it happen, and this is the real deal, not a “failed” Kickstarter campaign stretch goal, not a “someday, maybe” tease. Mobile was always something we'd talked about, and in our first Kickstarter campaign we actually reached a stretch goal that was bringing this to mobile. We never really knew how, if, or when we'd actually get there, but we’ve been committed to making it happen at some point. Between backer messages, Discord chats, and watching how people want to play games these days, it is clear mobile was an inevitability.
Short Circuit Studio
To pull it off, we've partnered with Short Circuit Studio — a Stockholm-based team who've spent their time building remarkable mobile games (to name a few… Townsfolk, Hearthside, Teeny Tiny Town, if you want to go poke around). They know mobile in a way we don't, and honestly, in a way most PC-first teams don't either — the pacing, the UI, the stuff that makes a game feel native on a phone instead of just squished into one.
We didn't want a lazy port. We wanted Feed the Scorchpot to feel like it was always meant to live in your pocket, and the team at Short Circuit Studio are the ones that make this possible. They’re a pretty cool bunch too, so cool that we couldn’t get an actual photo of them because their only photos are of them photoshopped into superheroes… So here’s their logo! And their Discord if you want to go say g’day.

What it means
For the game, it means the Scorchpot gets a life beyond Steam — a whole audience who may never have opened a launcher in their life.
For us, it means Indieformer is now juggling a third live partnership on top of everything else, and yeah, that's a little terrifying (but it's the good kind). It also means everything just got a lot bigger. Most of these newsletters are firsts for us, so we can’t tell you based on experience how this will go. But, you don't reach the next platform by waiting until you feel ready for it. If we'd held out for that, we'd still be talking about mobile in the Discord instead of announcing it here. So we're doing the version that’s scary: partner with people who are better at this than we are, and figure out the rest as we go.
More to come as the port takes shape. We couldn't have asked for a better team to build it with. As always, we’re in the Scorchpot Discord, come say hi.
